How long does the programme last?

The programme typically runs for 2 to 3 hours, depending on the group size and activities included. Throughout the session, students will take part in a variety of experiential learning activities, combining aviation learning, hands-on exercises and simulator experiences to keep them engaged from start to finish.

How many students can you accommodate, and how is the programme organised for larger groups?

We can accommodate groups of 40 or more participants per session, depending on the programme arrangement. Students will experience a mix of workshop exercises, hands-on flying activities and age-appropriate aviation learning throughout the programme. Our instructors actively engage with students, answer questions and guide them through the different activities, creating an enjoyable and well-paced experiential learning experience for the whole group. For larger groups, speak with our team and we will be happy to recommend the most suitable programme format based on your group size, students’ ages and learning objectives.

Will every student get a chance to fly, and what happens while others are flying?

Yes. Every student will have the opportunity to enjoy a 1-on-1 guided, hands-on flying experience, taking the controls of the Boeing 737 flight simulator with guidance from a pilot instructor. Throughout the programme, students will also have opportunities to observe, participate in workshop exercises, interact with our instructors and take part in other aviation activities, ensuring they remain engaged throughout the session rather than simply waiting for their turn in the cockpit. Students in Flying 101 and above will also be able to experience our VR fighter-jet flying experience as part of the programme.

Is there a learning component, and what will students learn?

Absolutely. Our school programmes combine experiential learning with hands-on aviation experiences, with the content adapted to the students’ ages, knowledge levels and learning objectives. Older students may explore topics such as the principles of flight, aviation phonics, introductory air traffic control exercises and other aviation concepts, before applying some of what they have learnt through interactive activities and the flight simulators. For younger students, aviation is introduced through fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage them to learn through play, participation, observation and hands-on experiences.

How do the school programmes differ across the different age groups?

Each programme is designed to suit the students’ age, learning level and ability to engage with different aviation concepts. Younger students are introduced to aviation through fun workshop exercises, interactive activities and hands-on learning, making new concepts easier to understand and enjoy. As students get older, the programme becomes more advanced, with greater emphasis on aviation phonics, the principles of flight, practical application and more complex flying experiences. Students in Flying 101 and above will also be able to experience our VR Flying Experience, which is designed with older students in mind and introduces them to a faster-paced fighter-jet flying environment alongside the Boeing 737 flight simulator. For younger students, the programme instead focuses on age-appropriate experiential learning activities that are equally engaging, interactive and hands-on at their stage of learning.

Can the programme be tailored to what our students are learning in school?

Yes. If your students are studying a particular topic or your school has specific learning objectives, we would be happy to discuss them with you. Our team can tailor elements of the programme around your students’ age, interests and educational objectives, helping them connect classroom learning with practical, hands-on experiential learning in an aviation environment.

Can teachers or accompanying adults take part too?

Teachers and chaperones are very welcome to attend and observe the programme alongside their students. Once all participating students have had their turn, we would also be delighted to offer teachers and chaperones a complimentary flight experience, subject to any remaining session time.

Can you accommodate students with additional learning or accessibility needs?

University & School Programs

For many years, Flight Experience Singapore have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence – We are proud to be the world leader in Flight Simulation entertainment. Flight Experience was the first and original Flight Simulator to open to the public, offering a world-class experience, where you are the pilot. From the moment you check-in, receive your briefing, and then take the Captain’s seat to try your skills flying a modern jetliner, you will be assisted by our professional pilot instructors.

We run a variety of educational programs, successfully delivered to hundreds of local and international schools. Sessions are 120 to 150 minutes and are tailor-made where students will be introduced to interesting aviation concepts and topics such as operating a modern jetliner, how planes fly, and becoming a pilot. Everyone will have an opportunity to enter the Boeing 737-800 flight deck and be at the controls of our flight simulator under the guidance of our fully trained instructors, all Commercial Pilot Licence holders. All sessions are aimed at being fully interactive and allow children to have fun learning. Personalised Certificate of Achievements for each participant and photos taken during the session will be included as well.

Program Outline

During the program, the students will learn aviation basics, including how aircraft are built, how they fly, the jobs on board and at the airport, and everyone will have the opportunity to be at the controls of our amazing simulator. The sessions are interactive, and we have received excellent feedback and return visits from schools.

There are lots of opportunities to ask our crew any burning questions and this is often a lively, interactive session that all the children enjoy. We also provide practical exercises such as colouring, building paper airplanes, and hands-on safety briefing demonstrations.
